Welcome!

Since you’re here, let me tell you a little about myself:

First, I love design, and I admit that I’m a total type geek, because letterforms are super-cool.

I truly enjoy experience design and creative problem solving, and believe that the process of finding a solution is as rewarding as building the solution. Design-thinking activities such as: design methods, design research and service design is integral in determing gaps in a problem and finding the right road map to solve the problem.

My years of experience have spanned from designing for print, television, web and everything in-between. I recieved my under-grad from University of Kansas in graphic design. My first job was a one (wo)man, in-house creative who designed marketing materials which included invitations, newsletters, and billboard design. After a few years, I landed at a Kansas City television station where I was an interactive designer for the evening news. In addition, I produced commercial and spot animations, and designed all of the print ad campaigns. That job taught me a lot about quick deadlines and working under pressure. Today, I serve as art director and brand manager for an highly creative, in-house team in Kansas City that produces print, web, and multimedia design.

I recently graduated with honors from the University of Kansas [rock. chalk. jayhawk.] with my Masters in Interaction and User Experience design, and received the Victor Papanek Award for Graduate Thesis Research and Design, for "Shelter Me: Finding Shelter for Humans in the Heartland."

Design is ingrained in my soul and I feel fortunate that I have a career doing something I love!
